Lauren Paris

Front Ensemble Caption Head


Lauren graduated from Rancho Buena Vista High School in 2008. She then went on to study under Norman Weinberg and Kim Toscano as a Percussion Performance Major at University of Arizona. While attending the University, Lauren studied and performed under the baton of Gregg Hansen in the University’s Top Wind Ensemble.


She also was a key member of the University of Arizona Steel Drum ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and World Music Percussion ensemble. She has been teaching Front Ensemble over a span of seven years for several programs around San Diego County and has been arranging and composing for front Ensembles for five years. Her past and current employers include Orange Glenn, Escondido, Fallbrook, Point Loma, Rancho Buena Vista, Vista, and Steele Canyon High School.


Harry Hutchins

Battery Caption Head/Battery Arranger (Drum Corps & Indoor Percussion)


This will be Harry’s second season as both Battery Caption Head and Percussion Arranger.


Harry is an active educator in Southern California. He has taught at organizations such as Dark Sky Percussion, Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, Poway High School, Mt. Carmel High School, Chino High School, Westview High School, and Grossmont High School. His performance experience includes Alternative Percussion Ensemble (2005-2010) and Academy Drum and Bugle Corps (2008). In 2016, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music (B.M.) with a major in Film Scoring. While there, he studied drum set performance under Sergio Bellotti, Tony “Thunder” Smith, Henrique De Almeida, Bertram Lehmann, Neal Smith, and Larry Finn.


Harry has written for groups such as Ramona High School, Grossmont High School, Westview High School, Mayfair High School, Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, Springs Valley High School, Ramona Riverside High School, Riverside King High School, Mission Hills High School, among other schools within the US.


Harry is currently a freelance composer in the greater Los Angeles area pursuing a career in film scoring.


Snare Tech


This will be Vincent’s second year with The Watchmen Drum and Bugle Corps. He is active with both the Winter Drums and Summer’s season as Battery Technician. He has marched Tenors for Pomona High School (Drum Captain) along with the Sound Machine of the Inland Empire Youth Band. He marched Snare for Ganesha High School (Drum Captain), The Tournament of Roses Honor Band (Drum Captain) and the Riverside Community College Marching Tigers for the Field 1999 and indoor seasons (99-00). Vincent was the “ Rackman in the Pit” for the 1999 Concord Blue Devils, winning the title of World Champion. He also played Drum Set for the Mixed Ensemble group earning him a Mixed Ensemble Championship as well.


Post his marching experience, he has instructed at several High Schools in the IE. Including- Pomona High, Ganesha High, Rubidoux High and Pacific High School to name a few. He is currently a Battery Technician at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Riverside.


Vincent also plays drums set for local recording artist Seefor Yourself and Evan Palmer, with his Bands Student Body Presidents and The Pocket Protecterz. He is also active in serving at his home church Harvest Christian Fellowship, on the worship team.


Vincent currently lives in Moreno Valley with his wife and 2 Sons.

Austin Accomando

Snare Tech


Austin is an active instructor in the Southern California area. He has performed as a marching snare with multiple groups such as Temecula Valley High School in 2014 and 2015, Gold Drum and Bugle Corps in 2015, Pacific Crest 2016 and POW percussion for the 2017 season. He has taught Temecula Valley the past 2 seasons, including the season they were elevated to Open Class in ADLA. He has also helped Panorama High School as a battery/visual tech and also partly drill writer. This will be his first season teaching an independent group.


Quad Tech


Theo was born and raised in Los Angeles CA, first started druming in the 6th grade for his church. In 2003 he was accepted into the Washington Prep performance arts program, where he furthered his percussion studies.


In 2004 he was accepted into the Thelonious Monk institute of Jazz where i studied and performed with Daniel Seef, Herbie Hancock, Terence Blanchard, Wayne Shorter, Terreon Gully, George Clinton, and numorouse other Jazz and Hip-hop legends. In the summer 2004 accepted into the Thelonious Monk Jazz Camp

In 2005/2006/2007 I made CittySound Indoor line (Bass) as well as All City Marching Band (Tenor Section leader), 2005/2006 SoCal Dream (Tenors Section leader), 2007 accepted into Ohio State university on a music scholarship.


In Summer 2007 Joined the Marines to play with the Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps, 2009 Marine Corps silent Drill team. In 2014 he was Snare/Bass Tech for City Sound Drum and Bugle Corps also the percussion instructon for Washington Prep Music academy. In 2015 he started working for The Harmony Project (Drumset Instructor) And OCMA indoor percussion (Percussion Instructor). This is Theo 2nd year with Watchmen Drum Corps (Tennor Tech)


Nikolas Woods

Bass Tech


Nikolas Woods' teachings come from the learning styles he has picked up over his years of performing in various ensembles. Because of this, he has been able to apply his learnings immediately back to his students of all different skill levels.


Currently he is the Associate Director for Orange County Independent, the percussion caption heads at Santa Fe, La Serna, and La Mirada High Schools as well as the bass drum tech for Pace Percussion. Past experiences includes instructing Gold Drum and Bugle Corps as well as various high school and middle schools in the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.


As mentioned beforehand, Nikolas has performed in various groups such as Full Force Percussion, Orange County Independent, Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, Dark Sky Percussion as well as the various ensembles at both Cerritos College and California State University, Dominguez Hills amongst others.


Currently, Nikolas is finishing up his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Mitchell Sampang

Cymbal Tech


Mitchell James Sampang is a senior majoring in Music education and Music Technology at Mt. San Antonio College. He is a member of The Westminster Chorus, and was a member of Chino High School 77th Cavalry Winter Percussion 2011 and 2012. Fermata Nowhere, and Concert Choir.


He has worked as a Cymbal Tech for Chino High School Winter Percussion 2016 and 2017 seasons and and Riverside King Fall 2016. He eventually plans to apply and transfer to Cal State Fullerton, which he will pursue music education and music software design.

Tim Laguna

Front Ensemble Tech


Tim has been studying percussion for the past seven years with performing experience including, the Orange County Wind Symphony, the Laguna Beach community band, Fullerton College Wind Ensemble, Fullerton College Percussion Ensemble, Cal Poly Pomona Wind Ensemble, the Kellogg Percussion Ensemble, Cal Poly Pomona Concert Band, Fullerton College Brass Ensemble (Soloist/Timpani), Fullerton College Jazz Combo, and as a percussionist for Cal Poly Pomona’s production of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. In Spring 2016 he was invited to play with the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Wind Ensemble in Reno, Nevada as a percussionist.


He is currently a music education student at Cal Poly Pomona studying percussion. He has studied independently with the timpanist from the Redland’s Symphony Bill Schlitt along with Yamaha Marimba solo artist Naoko Takada. He has also briefly studied drum set with Mapex artist Matt Johnson during his time at Fullerton College.


Tim is currently the Percussion Caption head at El Rancho HS and the Front Ensemble Caption head at Martin Luther King HS. His other teaching experience includes La Quinta HS (OC) 2012-2016, Los Amigos HS Fall 2015, Los Altos HS Winter 2016. He is the current percussion arranger/show designer for El Rancho HS and has written indoor percussion programs for AB Miller HS and Magnolia HS.

Rebecca Pasillas

Front Ensemble Tech


This is Rebecca's second season teaching Watchmen drum and bugle corps. With past experience including Ramona high school, Oak hills high school and consulting for Nogales high school. She is currently the social media intern for Pulse Percussion.


Rebecca spent her age out with POW Percussion for the 2016 season. Her past marching experience includes Watchmen Drum and Bugle Corps as a founding member('13, 14), RCC Marching Tiger, section leader her final year('13, '14, '15) and Dark Sky Percussion('14, '15).


Rebecca lives in Riverside, CA.


Front Ensemble Tech


Rogelle is an active music educator in the Inland Empire. Drawing from his experiences performing with the RCC Marching Tigers (2013), POW Percussion (2013, 2014), the Watchmen Drum & Bugle Corps (2014), Pulse Percussion in (2015, 2016), he passionately shares his knowledge of percussion with the front ensembles of A.B. Miller High School, Jurupa Hills High School, and Grand Terrace High School. In the past he has also worked with his alma mater, Summit High School, as well as Fontana High School and Los Altos High School.


Outside of the marching activity, Rogelle also assists the string orchestras at A.B. Miller High School and Jurupa Hills High School as each school’s respective strings coach.


Rogelle currently attends Cal Poly Pomona with the intention of earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, with an emphasis in education.


Rogelle currently resides in Fontana, CA.
